Annual Hats Off to Chemo Charity Golf Classic was a resounding Success

London Tyke Foregoes Birthday Gifts To Help Children Undergoing Chemo 

Three moving-boxes of new hats will be donated to Hats Off to Chemo. 

LONDON, ONTARIO - At 10:00am on April 7, 2009, five-year-old Eden Reshef of London presented Hats Off to Chemo with three moving-boxes full of new hats collected from friends and classmates. Tammy was there to celebrate this amazing gesture of kindness.

Hats Off to Chemo Golf Tournament 2008

Well it was June 23rd 2008 and the 1st annual Hats Off to Chemo golf tournament was underway. The new golf committee did a wonderful job of coordinating the tournament that raised over $4000.00 for the charity operating fund.  Thanks to all the sponsors and players for making the inaugural tournament a  complete success.

June 19th, 2004 National Wild Turkey Federation

Hats Off to Chemo was invited Saturday June 19th in Seaforth Ontario to receive over 500 hats donated by the National Wild Turkey Federation members.

Larry “Mouse” Dalmage local president and Kevin Townsend, Regional Director along with 50 plus children and parents presented the hats to Hats Off to Chemo. The day was filled with education and fun sponsored by the N.W.T.F. The kids participated in archery, bird house construction, firearms safety, and proper trapping methods.

July 2003 Chatham Kent Ontario Provincial Police

More than 5000 hats donated to cancer charity.

Hats,  Hats, so many hats.

The Chatham Kent Ontario Provincial Police detachment turned over 5000 hats Thursday to Hats Off to Chemo, which collects hats nationally for cancer centres and hospitals. “ Hats are being provided to those undergoing radiation therapy and chemotherapy in Canada” said Hats Off to Chemo founder Tammy Burton.

July 2003 Ladies from the First Christian Reformed Church and OPP

The ladies from the First Christian Reformed Church have been busy knitting hats for the OPP's Hat Off to Chemo project.  The OPP is collecting hats of all shapes and sizes to be given to those who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.  From the left are, Lisa Luyt, Dorothy Stuivenberg and Jean Singer.  In the back, is OPP Const. Patti McPhail.  She says the program has been "overwhelmed" with donated hats, but notes a great need remains for hats that would be suitable for women.

May 16, 2002 Windsor Wins with NEMAK/Ford BBQ

The Windsor Aluminum Plant Fitness Committee 
and the Windsor Regional Environment Council and the Windsor Aluminum Plant
and the Richard Nemeth Foundation were involved in a BBQ event that collected hats and raised money for the purchase of new hats from the NIKE Outlet store in Windsor, to the tune of 980 hats overall.
