London Tyke Foregoes Birthday Gifts To Help Children Undergoing Chemo
Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 10:00AM Three moving-boxes of new hats will be donated to Hats Off to Chemo.
LONDON, ONTARIO - At 10:00am on April 7, 2009, five-year-old Eden Reshef of London presented Hats Off to Chemo with three moving-boxes full of new hats collected from friends and classmates. Tammy was there to celebrate this amazing gesture of kindness.

In lieu of birthday presents, Eden asked her party guests to bring a hat or two for a great cause. Then, Eden went a step further and asked her classmates to join the cause as well. Her selfless act inspired students at University Childcare Centre and University Heights Public School to follow her lead, and in all, Eden collected three moving-boxes full of new hats!

A new hat may seem like a small gesture, but this donation from a caring child provides the equivalent of an embrace on behalf of the community and fulfills a practical need for people undergoing treatment", says Hats Off to Chemo president, Tammy Burton.
